Chairman of the National assembly, Won Woo Shik said that cooperation in science and technology between the two countries need to go to specific areas such as AI, quantum, promote joint research.
Suggestions are he Won Woo Shik given at the visit the Institute of Science and technology Vietnam – Korean (VKIST), light 21/11 in Hanoi.
VKIST is organized under the Ministry of Science and technology, was established by The government in 2015 to build model research new app in Vietnam, the objective of development of industrial production in water-based model research Institute, KIST of Korea. This is also project aid is the largest of Korean for Vietnam.
According to the chairman of the parliament Korean Won Woo Shik, the formation of VKIST is one of the fruits fact, most expressing the relationship of the two countries, after the process of promoting cooperation in various fields such as economic, traffic, and people.
He Shik appreciate the Vietnam has a resolution 57 with the Law related to the development of science and technology over time, at the same time the highest leaders of Vietnam and south Korea met and agreed bringing science and technology into new focus.
According to him Shik, in order to promote this cooperation, the two sides should promote in the particular field in which he refers to the new material, AI, quantum and the industry towards the future.
“To do that, the two sides need to implement the joint research, as well as support and jointly commercialize the technology, focus on training human resources,” the president of the National assembly recommended.
Representatives of the Ministry of Science and technology welcomes president of the National assembly, the deputy minister Bui The Duy, stressed, Korean has inspired and is the template to Vietnam learning in the development of science and technology.
According to him, the construction of VKIST as today is a difficult process, but have gained many achievements and became a model for the cooperation of Vietnam and the country.
“The success and all the difficulties and challenges yet to be solved when building VKIST are summed up, is the base to take out the improvement of the law on science and technology for Vietnam,” the deputy minister said, adding.
First chairman of the National assembly, the same number of mps attending the meeting, deputy minister Bui The Duy suggested the two sides continue to promote VKIST developed into the center (HUB) on cooperation in science and technology Vietnam – Korean. He was also eager to take the institute to become the place to provide resources and solutions for Korean businesses in Vietnam, the bridge, putting the Korean business, regardless of scale, on Vietnam market as well as South-East Asia.
“We are committed to create all favorable conditions about the mechanisms, policies, and operational environment to VKIST to develop the right direction; at the same time promote the best role is the symbol on cooperation in science and technology between Vietnam and south Korea,” said the deputy minister.
